Well Holy Shit The Bed! I Remembered My Password! [13 Jul 2009|02:31am]
[ mood | weird ]

Things that are new with me.

I'm working at Adrenaline Tattoo & Body Piercing now. I know I said I'd never work in a shop again, but that was in respect to being a body piercer. I am now a Sterile Technician at Adrenaline, processing all the non-disposable equipment and making sure nobody gets the Hep or MRSA,etc. I'm loving it, its awesome like a possum, mainly because its just my element.

I custom ordered a pair of these:

The only difference is mine won't be green, they will be two different colored opals, etc. Actually I just gave them the opal colors I wanted and told them to make me something special haha!

Here are the two shows I did for Discovery Channel's Forensic Factor:

1) Leaving Las Vegas
&
2)Pyromaniac

A few weeks ago I was working on the set of "Being Erica" for its new season in September. I was an old school goth street punk kid, I got to show the fashion crew how to properly dress us, since none of them were into that fashion and didn't have a clue.

Tomorrow I'm working on the set of something called "Copper". Got no clue what it is nor what its about, guess I'll find out at 8am which is my call time...I guess I should go to bed since its almost 3am.

I'm hoping to hear back from Centennial College soon as I applied to go to school there, for their Sterile Supply Processing certification. I'll be going to school one day a week for six months. After that I'll be a Certified Sterile Tech, boooyah! Now I just gotta figure out how to come up with the $2000 to pay for the class. I can try a school loan, the Freemasons have a educational bursary but I have to already be a member of a lodge here. There's also the option of going to the bank and seeing about a line of credit or a loan, but don't think I'd get that. I could even maybe see if work could help me out since its technically education inline with my work and could be seen as a "educational tax write-off" for them.

I'll just have to look into that further when I hopefully get the acceptance letter.

Hope everyones doing well.

PS: I'm waiting to get my tax return back and when I do, I'm contemplating taking a trip to San Francisco to see someone I miss. Stupid tax return is taking forever too I applied for it on May 30th'ish and its now Mid-July...Darn slow government branch hurry up and give me my money...please?

Congrats Warren You Made It To The Second Round Of So You Think You Can Dance! [09 Jan 2009|02:45pm]
[ mood | calm ]

Ok so its not really So You Think You Can Dance, a guy can hope right?

Actually I've made it to the second round of interviews with....Flight Centre.

Last time I applied, long ago, they didn't even bother contacting me back. I guess this time around I sold myself good and proper, I guess the adventures in the land down under perhaps helped as well.

So on Monday I have a brief phone interview going over my application and hopefully from there I'll move on to the next round and so on an so forth.

I figure long as I dress classy and keep wearing long sleeves, they'll be fine with my appearance. Personally I don't see myself as looking really over the top anymore....Anyways I got my fingers crossed and am hoping it all pans out. I'm a good sales guy and I love traveling so I'm sure it will go over well.

Other than that not much else has been going on.

NYE was epic...I don't remember the night at all...But the photo's are quite embarssingly epic. Nothing like having 6 sweaty naked men rushing to tackle ya when you're three sheets to the wind drunk. Apparently my natural survival instincts kicked in and I was extremely hard to take down...Good to know...

I was also in a state of confusion the other day because out of nowhere I found out two friends were/got married at City Hall. I was suppose to go but I was under the impression it was already a full house and I wasn't able to go and instead opted to wait for the reception party to come over and start. It was nice seeing those two tie the knot though, there was just something about them on that day.

Also today was my scheduled appointment for Acupuncture/T.C.M and it was quite enjoyable. I am so relaxed and so content with myself right now, it's great! Apparently my doctor confirmed I have been doing well also. He told me all the tension in my neck is now gone and overall I'm doing leaps and bounds better than originally. So instead of seeing me twice a week, he's decided to see me once every two weeks. That might just be a result of my lack of consistent income right now as well, not sure. All I know is I feel better.

OH AND FINALLY!!!! recently a friend and I have decided to join forces and work on a book together!

The book is basically going to be 30-40 of my written pieces combined with their artwork. Essentially the idea is she reads what I wrote, self-interprets them and draws them. There will be zero discussion between them and myself as to what I was thinking about when I wrote what I wrote. Because frankly, I don't really remember any of it...Just call me Issac Mendez from Heroes! HAHA!

We've already briefly gone over the written pieces and separated them into three categories: 1) No, 2) Yes and 3) ULTIMATE!

So soon as we start working on it more seriously we're going to go over the pictures with the words and work on the layout,etc...We'll probably do it up via LuLu.com or self-publishing.ca or even both...Its all a matter of how much it will all cost...I know on LuLu.com a basic price was gonna work out to roughly like $15 retail, maybe less depending.

We have a lot of interesting ways to market the book as well, so hopefully it all works out.

So Off To Another Set Tomorrow To Reach Stardom One Show At A Time [04 Nov 2008|09:43pm]
So I haven't figured out Rogers digital tv and its pvr or whatever...It won't let me break away from the channels Badur has set to record...So I either have to watch 90210 or The F Word, which is fine...But it interrupted me watching Dazed And Confused, as well as UFC Unleashed plus the Leafs game.

I got the call today to hit up the Hammer tomorrow and be in a show called: "Lawyers, Guns and Money" or something like that....Not sure if its a tv show or a movie, but I have to be at the shuttle pick up point at 8am sharp...

I was told to dress like an upscale biker...I'm thinking that means the typical "Weekend Warrior" type thing but I am not quite sure exactly...I mean facially I don't think I look very "biker-esque", the reason she casted me for it was because of my tattoos and scarification...But whatever...

This meant I needed to pick up some more clothes so I hit up some Thrift Stores as well as Wal-Mart. I bought some Dickies pants and boots as well as a vest and some shirts, and black pants, etc. So hopefully the Costume people are cool with what I'm bringing else they're gonna have to re-dress me from head to toe...

In other news I picked up just under 300ct's of Premium Violet Blue Namibian Blue Chalcedony. When it arrives I'll be re-directing it to my good friends at: Relic Stoneworks. I've given them complete artistic freedom/creative control to do what they do best and I can't wait to see what amazing pieces of jewelry they create.

I also am going to look into obtaining some Opals, Meteorite as well as Larimar to send their way to do what they do best.

Now as for this whole American Election shindig...It looks like Obama is going to win, but as I've learned over the years...never say never...

Regardless though the fact of the matter is this...McCain...Obama...Either way...We're going to be dealing with the last 8 years of shit, for the next 10....So regardless who's in office after tonight, I believe it to be the calm before the storm. So either this coming president better be more awesome than Jesus and get re-elected in 4 years, or else they better find someone just as good if not better.

But one thing to question is...Don't you all feel this? That deep foreboding within the recesses of your guts, hearts and minds? That feeling like we are on the cusp of a monumental transition/change that something BIGGER than politics/countries,etc is going on?

Perhaps its time to put away the childish ways and to start considering the bigger picture...To think outside the box...I don't know why...I just personally got that feeling...and I just really hope that this feeling is not like other feelings I've had over the years...

I Feel Like I Was Mauled By Zombie Jesus [02 Nov 2008|06:56pm]
[ mood | hungry ]

Halloween consisted of chilling at a friends place and dishing out candy. I then made a brief stop by Velvet to see a friends band play and then headed to the Kathedral to see friends while the Matadors played.

I wasn't dressed up or anything. Just wasn't vibing the whole Halloween thingie this year..Probably cuz I just got back.

Yesterday I went and helped a couple friends move into their new place. Multiple flights of stairs, multiple heavy items and 1 pack-rat house-mate who literally FILLED their room up from top to bottom and front to back full of his stuff...I was exhausted..

We went out to Sneaky Dee's for dinner for our moving muscle abilities and I pretty much ate two King's Nachos. My gut was busting.

I ended up at my friends place on the east end of Toronto for his birthday party. Got to hang out with people I haven't seen in awhile so that was nice.

I spoke to my mom today which was nice. Also talked to my brothers bajan girl and apparently her and my niece are going to be up here in Toronto on Saturday. So I guess I'll be meeting up with them at some point to hang out and catch up,etc.

Heard back from the crime scene cleaners place and looks like they won't be hiring until the first Quarter of 2009. Not only that but if I do that, there's a high chance I won't even be staying in Ontario. As they are looking for regional/territory agents to work in different parts of Canada.

I'm hungry...I think I might go pick up some Indian Food or something...

What I've All Been Up To Lately [31 Oct 2008|01:12pm]
Well I've been in Toronto now for roughly 3-4 weeks.

I'm currently on hiatus from doing any body piercing work and frankly I'm feeling like I want to retire from it all together. Things have just changed so drastically these days and not for the better...Back in the day people have a grasp on what body modification was really about, now for the past few years its all about viewing it as a fashionable accessory. There ain't nothing wrong with that, but the type of crowd you get with that mentality is very less appreciable and understanding of everything.

I have a number of business ventures to consider and am currently weighing out...I've also gone back to doing background/extra work for TV and Film. My first gig was this past weekend where I worked for Discovery Channel on the set of Forensic Factor, and I actually got featured...Essentially there's a scene where I'm in a conference lecture room and I shake hands with the evil bad guy and leave, with plenty of face time on the camera. Hopefully the scene doesn't get cut and I can watch it and have a huge laugh at my own expense.

I'm also looking into doing Crime Scene Cleaning. So basically I'll be wearing a hazmat outfit and go to places where there's been murders/deaths/suicides/whatever and cleaning up the messes, etc. Just like the Samuel L Jackson movie: The Cleaner...Only a realistic version of that movie...

The one thing though is apparently if I get that training and take that job, I will once again have to leave Toronto. As apparently they want to set up territorial agents in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba...I MIGHT be able to stay in Toronto however I don't know just yet.

Yay for so many things being up in the air! NOT!

PS: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!

'Ello Dis Iz Fiji Callin [02 Oct 2008|04:59pm]
Landed in Fiji safe and sound. Had the transit xray screener guy with a flower in his hair ask me about my plugs and want to see my ears and all that. He was a bit confused as to why I did that and if I wanted to do it. Oddly enough he didn't make mention of my arm, guess he was too sucked in by my gorgeous face hahaha!

Fiji people are real nice and really friendly. I totally wish I was in a position to travel through this part of the world via boat or something, its so beautiful!

My flight to LA is at 10pm so I have a few hours until that happens. A restaurant just opened up for us, so I might grab some food, provided I can pay or it hahaha! Just not sure if they'll accept American money or not,etc as well as don't know if they'd in return give me fiji dollars or whatever as well...There's a currency exchange so maybe I'll just change $20 to get some food or something.

Bye Bye Australia [02 Oct 2008|12:17am]
So at noon'ish time tomorrow I will be departing Australia.

I'll be landing in LA and then Santa Cruz to hang out there until the Oct 6th. From there I am leaving Santa Cruz to fly into Toronto.

It's going to be a very hectic busy time...I hope everything goes smoothly and that I don't get lost in any terminals, etc.

Just Call Me The Littlest Hobo [16 Sep 2008|12:17am]
[ mood | busy ]

So on the move again...At Darwin airport right now waiting for my flight, roughly got half hour before boarding.

I fly to Brisbane tonight where in the morning I will promptly step onto a train and spend a few hours training north to Miriam Vale to visit my old friend Petra...From there I will spend a week visiting her in Miriam Vale before I head back to the Brisbane/Gold Coast area and spend a week there.

On Oct 2nd I will be doing the mass Warren migration starting from Brisbane. I'll be flying to Fiji where I'll spend 4 hours in the airport there. I will the fly to LA and then transfer to a flight to San Jose where I'll be picked up by team Anatometal and taken to Santa Cruz to hang out with them for a week.

After that week is up, on Oct 6th, I'll be flying back to Toronto with a connecting flight in Denver.

In the past year I've totally picked up massive travel mileage in my life...It's really insane and life is going to be just as hectic and insane in the first few months of being in Toronto...So much to do and so little time and having to rush rush rush....But I totally cannot wait to touch down and see everyone whom I haven't seen in over a year again.

That's going to be totally cool! But I do admit I will definitely miss Darwin and its lil differences,etc...As well as all the individuals who I've met and befriended while living here. It's definitely going to be strange being back in Toronto, at least initially.

Damn Heavy Baggage Hurry Up An Go Digital! [08 Sep 2008|07:27pm]
[ mood | frustrated ]

So packing...I weighed myself and my dvd collection, my dvd's weigh 5 kilos or 11 pounds...I am only allowed 20 kilos (or 44 pounds) of luggage on the flight...This sucks cuz I have various books and of course my clothing as well, etc.

Damn you airlines for only allowing such a small amount of weight to be allowed on planes...and damn you Film Corporations for not adopting the modern era and going completely digital and constantly churning out waste of space stuff like dvd's, blurays discs, etc, etc, etc.

I just hope that if anything it's not drastically over the 20 kilo mark cuz after that I have to pay $10 a kilo...Which I wouldn't mind if it was a kilo or two but if its ten kilos, I'm screwed.

Grrrr....aaaaaarrrrrgh!

Today was a most interesting time in that it was the most frustrating as well as the best of its times...EVER

I've had quite a bit of mount gay rum and coke at my lodge meeting tonight, so bare with me...i'm drunk if ya haven't figured that out hahaha

BYAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy I went tonight and got to be apart of something so amazing...So beautiful...And as the night grew closer to an end, my voice choked...I almost nearly teared up...I pictured my father and uncle there alongside me the entire evening.

I'm so happy and so excited I can barely realize wha time it is and that I should probably be in bed...

But I'm drunk...So....BYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know when I wake up first thing in the morning...I will look upon the world with new eyes...

I will sleep with a smile on my face...Will you?

So Another Update...Or Somethin... [03 Sep 2008|08:57pm]
[ mood | okay ]

So I got new glasses finally, versace ones...Yeah, I'm baller...that's how I roll...Still getting used to them because they are so different, frames wise, then my old ones...and plus its odd that after so long, I can see things crisp and sharply without and scratches or anything haha.

Also I received this in the mail today:

you know you're jealous about that and want one too. I'm kinda scared to drink it though cuz it has crosses in the nutritional guide section lol

In other news on the 16th I fly from Darwin to Brisbane and will spend a week in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area. After that is up I'm training it up to a place called Miriam Vale to visit my old friend Petra and spend a week up there with her. So it'll be fun, its been awhile now since I've had a good proper vacation...I probably won't bring my laptop because I'm gonna try not to access any internet outlets during my entire vacation...ooooh that's gonna be a toughie! haha!

Hemorrhaging Of The Monies [28 Aug 2008|09:51pm]
[ mood | tired ]

So credit card was paid...and I went to the optical store in the mall and got my eye exam and what not sorted out.

Because I am not an Australian my eye exam cost more then it should, yay non-aussies getting raped financially every chance possible!

It turns out my eye sight has not changed that much in the past 11-12 years, which I find to be VERY odd...I would have figured that many years with the same crappy all scratched up and warmed glasses, would have altered my vision.

The only thing different, and confirmed weird, is that I should technically have my glasses for distance but also I should have some kind of reading glasses. It apparently isn't a huge concern but I guess because of my work and everything without distance glasses and up close/reading glasses, it might be a tad bit hard to focus at first...But if I continue to look over my glasses up close or take them off when I do close up things, I'll be fine.

Since this was the first pair of glasses that I was personally buying, I felt the need to splurge...Now I didn't buy any insanely priced Prada frames or anything like that...Instead I went with a mid-priced set of designer frames....Mainly because after trying on ALL the frames, this pair was the only pair that fit and looked good on my frame...

I won't say what designer label...When I get them I'll take a picture to show them off cuz they are pretty badass...They're like a black chrome look and on the sides is a small portion of silver with the designer label written in discreet style.

I should be getting them on either the 1st or the 2nd...I hope it's the second because I have a lodge meeting on the 1st.

This Saturday though I was invited to a friends birthday party. It will be interesting because I haven't spent any serious amounts of time with her in awhile. But I promised I'd be there to celebrate the birth/life of her. I'm thinking I'll pick up some wine for her as a bday present or something like that.

It'll be interesting though since I'm pretty sure I won't know the majority of people who will be attending this party...Or maybe I will and I just don't know it yet hahaha

ps: Its the start of the "Build Up" which means Darwin is building up a lot of heat, humidity, etc and is the start of the Wet Season...I really wish there wasn't a wet season here as I much prefer not sweating profusely and saturating my shorts, shirt, etc entirely with sweat before I get into work...argh!

God Bless Tax Refunds [21 Aug 2008|11:27am]
[ mood | working ]

So I got my tax refund and the other day I paid off my credit card all responsible like. It was sad seeing that money go.

Also since people are getting tax refunds back too, I'm seeing a ton of people sporting new glasses. This of course makes me desire new glasses so I'm going to try and get into the glasses store and book an eye exam appointment as well as pick out some frames.

I hate picking out frames by myself its so frustrating...Part of me dislikes the round ones I got on currently because I think they make my face look fat and round like a ball, but that could be because they are old and don't fit properly anymore haha!

I'm also still not sure how those rectangular ones that are all hip and in fashion these days, will look on my face.

And of course the silly guy in me isn't a fan of roaming around a store and trying on different frames and analyzing to see if they look good...I'd much rather have the ability of uploading a picture of my face and simply overlapping a transparent image of glasses so I could see what I'd look like with them on haha

How much of a loser am I for preferring that? I'd reckon pretty high eh? hahah!

My hair is also growing out and I'm in a state where I don't think I really want to cut it...I haven't seen what my hair looks like in awhile...So maybe I'll just let it grow and remind myself of it and decide if I want to continue to shave the head or actually have hair again.

Can Haz Updatez? [17 Aug 2008|07:17pm]
So Darwin is the only place I've ever been, where I have seen as many Orange/Red moon's. It's like every day there is one. It lasts for a good time frame as it rises from its rotations with the earth. As it gets higher and higher in the sky, it sheds its red/orange skin for a more "natural" look...All I need now is the massive giant fruit bat to come flying back an forth my balcony and I'm set for the night.

Last night and today I watched: "There Will Be Blood", "Walk Hard", "Juno" and "Meet The Spartans"...I give the overall entire group a two and a half out of 4. I enjoyed Walk Hard and Juno...There Will Be Blood I gave half a point to and Meet The Spartans of course got zero points...Sure it was moderately comical, but for the most part was stupid and pointless...Hence why I picked it up, cuz I was in the mood for some stupid and pointless.

A friend from the US is sending me a can of Brawndo The Thirst Mutilator. I am VERY excited to be receiving such a gift...Part of me wants to save it, however part of me really wants to drink it too...I guess I'll find out what I'm going to do when it arrives in my hands haha.

I got my tax money the other day. So tomorrow before I go to work I'm going to pay off my entire credit card debt. I'm also going to look into finally getting a new pair of glasses...I haven't had a new pair of glasses since I was 17, so I think I'm a tad bit overdue. I bet I'm going to feel VERY odd and weird for awhile, until I can get adjusted to my new frames and lenses, etc.

Trying to decide if I want to finish off my rice and minced beef w/taco sauce I made the other night...Or the leftover chicken I have...Or if I want to pull out a frozen pizza...I think I'll just have the chicken probably...I'm not really that hungry tonight anyways.

Hope all is well with everyone...

OH MY GOD IS EVERYONE OK!?!??! [10 Aug 2008|11:07pm]
[ mood | worried ]

I just saw this on my friend Blake's IAM page!

Massive Explosion at 1:50

Is there ANYONE we know who lives out that way? Has anyone been in contact with them since this happened?!?!?!

I just read this on Yahoo.ca news:

Police say thousands of people are being evacuated from their homes following a series of massive explosions at a Toronto propane facility.

Highways were shut down and a no-fly zone was ordered over the area in northwest Toronto at Keele and Wilson. Police urged people to leave their homes and for worried relatives to stay away.

They said air quality testing showed the air is not toxic.

Some residents sustained minor cuts and bruises, but officials knew of no serious injuries.

Two tankers at the facility continued to burn five hours after the fiery 4 a.m. blast and officials said they feared another explosion if they could not cool the tankers down.

Sunday Is As Sunday Does [10 Aug 2008|04:17pm]
[ mood | lethargic ]

So last night I ended up getting to bed really late, I roughly had like 5-6 hours sleep...Mainly because I woke up to the flatmates being all loud and annoying with their stomping about and loud talking, etc. I simply tossed and turned for a bit, trying to get back to sleep, before I decided to just get up and about.

Been watching the Olympics on an off all day, oddly enough here in Australia the tv channels seem to show a fair bit of Canadian coverage...Sadly at one point I was banging my head against the wall because all that was on was Water Polo with Canada vs Spain, which Spain spanketh the Canadian asseth.....Now I think cycling is on *sighs*

I'm contemplating if I want to gather up enough effort to walk into town and watch that new Seth Rogan, or whatever his name is, movie: "Pineapple Express"

So far survery says: "NEIN!"

I got some curry flavoured chicken sausages thawing out for dinner tonight so I'll have those and just relax around the house.

I got my fingers and toes crossed that tomorrow I'll have my tax return in my bank account, that'd be nice.

The other night I had an important lodge meeting...I almost didn't go because I was very pissed off at what I had to deal with (ie: bad shoddy jewelry in a girl and the "piercer" did a lot of lying and bullshitting)...But I walked to the lodge and got mysel calmed down enough to enjoy the evening and have a great time. I ended up drinking Tiger Beer and Pure Blonde for the entire evening and I was VERY mellow afterwards...Quite an enjoyable evening...

I'm really waiting for Hellboy 2 to hit the theatres here in Darwin. Last I recall it should be happening at some point this month in August, infact I think it's this coming weekend although I'm not quite sure...I'm going to have to look into that...

Other than that I've been trying to get a bunch of Misfits songs but my connection hasn't been consistent or steady so its taking quite some time. Argh!

I also need to find more songs to listen to but being here in Darwin my thumb's far away from the pulse of what I regularily listen to argh!

I'll be happy once my tax return comes so I can buy an iPOD and have more on it then just reggae music...I like my variety..

So What's The Dilly-O, Hilly-O [07 Aug 2008|07:58pm]
[ mood | hungry ]
[ music | Cars Driving On The Highway ]

The other day I had a massive leg cramp, it felt like my calf muscle was literally ripping apart. This of course occurred during the night and while I was dreaming. In my dream I clutched my leg and woke up doing the same thing, screaming in agony.

Tomorrow is my lodge night so its that time of the month when I get to dress up all spiffy like and head out to hang out with some good people and have a lil meal and a couple of drinks..YAY!

Food on the menu tonight is Sage & Garlic Sausages...I was considering cutting up some homemade fries but I'm too lazy...and I don't have any vinegar to soak the potatos in to make them crispy.

Apparently Australia plays Serbia tonight in the Olympics...They had it advertised the past couple days, but of course now its time and I can't find it on the tv at all. Crud! I'm a bit wondering what's going to happen at this Olympics...For some reason there's a thought in the back of my head of something weird and crazy happening...

Still haven't gotten my tax return yet...I suspect I'll be getting it on Monday as I did my tax stuff two weeks ago this Saturday and the guy promised it'd take roughly two weeks for the money to go into my account. If it doesn't come Monday, I'll give it a couple days then head on over and be like: "YO! WTF?!"

Mainly cuz I got some tuperware to pay for, as well as new glasses and an ipod.

I've been testing my brain trying to figure out what type of glasses I would look good in and all I can think of is: "One's that actually fit properly"...I find the ones I'm wearing now kind of make my face look more round and chubby like...Where's a fashion stylist when you bloody need one! LMAO!

New Picture To Post [04 Aug 2008|04:25pm]
[ mood | relaxed ]
[ music | Staind - Open Your Eyes ]

This is of what I assume to be an oil container as its located on the shore and has piping that enters into the sea.

It's pretty much covered in bush/trees,etc although there's some man-made pathways leading down to it. It's very much at first glance a non-suspicious location, however part of me has a mind taht thinks it could be a very ominous and dark location, like something used in a horror type movie. But hey that's just how my mind processes things haha!

Anyways here it is:
